HBA - Girls' Volleyball Competition
13 girls took part in a volleyball competition held by Sport2day at the Holbeach Hub against 6 other schools in the area.
We had a year 3/4 team of 7 players and a year 5/6 team with 6 players. The girls had been playing volleyball in their PE lessons prior to the event but we still met up the day before to go over the rules.
The girls played in teams of 6 and each match lasted 6 minutes long, which went very quick! They soon got into a rhythm and started working as a team, when one team wasn’t on the court our other team would support them.
After all of the schools had competed against each other the scores were added up and the top two teams played against each other to see who would win. Our 3/ 4 team scored the highest points and were put in against the second place team. Our 5 /6 team came second with their points, so were also put into the final. Both finals were played at the same time. It was a very close match but unfortunately both teams were just pipped at the last minute. However, they played extremely well and we are very proud of them.
Each team player received a medal and also a certificate.
