HPA & HBA - Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Open Day

Holbeach Primary and Holbeach Bank Academies hosted Open Days for prospective EYFS 2024 families on Wednesday 8 November and Tuesday 7 November 2023, respectively. 

Both academies welcomed a number of families, with many new families as well as a few sibling families. We showcased some of the work carried out so far in EYFS through presentation of floor books and photos of key events. Examples of the phonic scheme resources “Read, Write, Inc.” were presented and explained to the families. Our School Meal Providers, Willoughby Foods. attended both events. They brought samples for families to try and example menus. They were able to answer a range of questions relating to the school meals.

 The EYFS leader along with class teachers were able to offer guided tours to small groups of families around the academy building. This gave the families the opportunity to see the whole school environment as well as the EYFS unit where their child’s educational journey will begin. The open morning sessions concluded with an informal question and answer session with members of the Senior Leadership Team. Before leaving families were told the date that admissions opens and also if they had any further questions to get back in contact.
